Pattaya Malls Guide: Central Pattaya, Terminal 21, Royal Garden Plaza and More
This Pattaya malls guide lists eight malls, sorted by area: Beach Road, North Pattaya and the inland streets. Each one has a short note on what it is good for, when to go and where it sits.
Malls are cool, dry and easy, which helps on a hot or wet day in Pattaya. Opening hours differ from mall to mall, so check hours on the day before you go. Most have food courts, ATMs and clean toilets, which makes them a good place to reset. When you are done, the last part shows an easy way to rest at your hotel, condo or villa.

Beach Road Malls
Three malls sit on or beside Beach Road in central Pattaya, close to the sea and to many hotels. They are easy to link on foot or with a short ride.
Central Pattaya
Central Pattaya is the big beachfront mall on Beach Road. It has a department store, a food court, a cinema and a wide mix of shops. It suits anyone who wants one stop with everything. Go on a weekday afternoon, when the sea breeze is warm and the aisles are calmer. It sits at the Pattaya Klang junction, so check the way on your map. The drawback is the size. It takes a while to walk, so pick two or three floors and skip the rest.
Royal Garden Plaza
Royal Garden Plaza is an older mall on Beach Road, with a hotel attached. It has food, fashion and Ripley's Believe It or Not inside, which we cover in the Pattaya sights guide. It suits families and a rainy afternoon, because you can eat, shop and see the museum under one roof. It is in central Pattaya, a short walk from many beachfront hotels. The drawback is that some floors feel dated, so do not expect the newest shops.
Mike Shopping Mall
Mike Shopping Mall is on Beach Road in central Pattaya, near Soi 10. It has a department store, fashion stalls, electronics and snacks. It suits visitors who want cheap clothes, bags and gifts without the polish of a big chain mall. Go in the afternoon and bargain politely where prices are not fixed. The drawback is the crowd on weekend evenings, when the aisles fill up. Check hours on the day, as the department store can close earlier than the stalls.
North Pattaya Malls
North Pattaya is quieter than the beach strip. Two malls sit here, near the Dolphin roundabout and along Second Road. Both are handy if you stay in the Naklua side of town.
Terminal 21 Pattaya
Terminal 21 Pattaya is on North Pattaya Road, on the Naklua side, next to the Dolphin roundabout. It is an airport themed mall, and each floor is styled after a world city. It has a big food court, a cinema and many small shops. It suits couples and friends who like photos. Its food court is called Pier 21. Go in the late afternoon and walk the floors from the top down. The drawback is that the themed floors are small, so shoppers who want big brand stores should pick Central Pattaya.
Central Marina Outlet
Central Marina Outlet is an outlet mall on Second Road in North Pattaya. It has discounted fashion, shoes and sports wear, plus a food area and cafes. It suits bargain hunters. Go in the morning, when the stock is full and the heat is low. The drawback is the stock itself. Sizes and styles change, so you cannot plan to find one item. Check the way on your map before you ride over.
Staying in the north? See outcall massage in Naklua and Wongamat.
Inland Malls on Second Road, Central Pattaya Road and South Pattaya Road
The streets behind Beach Road hold three more malls. Each one does a different job, so pick by what you need. Big C Extra on Second Road is a hypermarket, not a mall, but it works for cheap snacks and sunscreen.
The Avenue Pattaya
The Avenue Pattaya is an open air street mall on Second Road, near Soi 15. It has cafes, restaurants and a few shops, with seats outside. It suits a slow coffee or dinner. Go in the early evening, when the air cools and the lights come on. It is in central Pattaya, so a Grab from most hotels is quick. The drawback is the lack of cover. Rain or a hot afternoon can spoil the open air seats, so plan a covered table.
Harbor Pattaya
Harbor Pattaya is on Central Pattaya Road, next to Foodland. It has the Harbor Land play zone, a cinema, food and shops. It suits families with children. Go in the morning on a weekday, when the play zone is calm. The drawback is the lack of big fashion names, so adults travelling alone will find it small. Check hours on the day, as the play zone can close earlier than the shops.
Tukcom Pattaya
Tukcom Pattaya is on South Pattaya Road, in Pattaya Tai. It is an IT mall with phones, laptops, cameras, repair stalls and a few cafes. It suits anyone who needs a charger, a screen fix or a SIM card. Go in the afternoon and compare prices at two or three stalls before you pay. The drawback is the focus. It has almost no fashion or food, so do not plan a day here.
Which Pattaya Mall Suits You
Match the mall to the need. Pick one, add a second only if you have time.
- Rainy day. Central Pattaya or Royal Garden Plaza. Both are big and indoors, with food and a cinema or museum.
- Food. Terminal 21 has the widest food court. Central Pattaya is a close second.
- Cheap fashion. Mike Shopping Mall and Central Marina Outlet.
- Gadgets. Tukcom Pattaya, for phones, cables and repairs.
- Families. Harbor Pattaya for the play zone, Royal Garden Plaza for Ripley's.
- A slow evening. The Avenue Pattaya, with cafes and open air seats.
- Staying safe. Agree the price of every ride before you start. Keep small notes ready for stalls.
Pattaya Rainy Day Mall Plan
Sudden rain is normal in Pattaya. Here is an easy plan for one wet day. Change it to fit your hotel.
- Morning. Take a Grab to Central Pattaya. Walk the shops while they are quiet.
- Lunch. Eat in the food court. Terminal 21 is a good second choice.
- Afternoon. Go to Royal Garden Plaza for Ripley's, or sit in a cafe and wait out the rain.
- Late afternoon. Go back to your room and rest. A massage at the hotel fits here.
- Evening. Walk to The Avenue Pattaya for dinner if the rain has stopped.
Massage After a Mall Day
A day of walking on hard floors tires your legs and feet. A therapist can come to your hotel, condo or villa after the trip. It is a calm way to rest. See hotel room massage in Pattaya, or home massage in Pattaya if you stay in a villa or condo. Back after dark? Late night massage in Pattaya covers late arrivals. We are open 24/7. Pay cash or PromptPay on arrival. The full area list is on outcall massage in Pattaya, and every area is on the Central Pattaya locations page.
Plan Your Mall Day
- Best time. Go in the afternoon or early evening. Malls are cool, and the heat outside is at its peak. Check hours on the day, because holidays change them.
- Getting around. Use Grab or Bolt for rides between malls, and agree the price first if you take a songthaew or a taxi. Traffic is slow on Beach Road at the end of the day.
- More guides. For the sea, see the Pattaya beaches guide. For sights, see the Pattaya things to do guide.
