General Massage Questions

Why is massage famous in Thailand?

Thailand is internationally known for its traditional Thai massage, which blends acupressure, assisted stretching, and energy work. It's deeply rooted in Thai culture and Buddhist healing traditions. Affordable, effective, and widely accessible, massage in Thailand is both a wellness treatment and a way of life, making it a must-try experience for locals and travelers alike.

How does massage work?

Massage works by improving circulation, relaxing tense muscles, and stimulating the nervous system to promote healing. It increases oxygen flow, reduces stress hormones like cortisol, and releases endorphins, the body's natural pain relievers. Whether it's deep tissue or gentle oil massage, each technique supports recovery and overall well-being.

Why does massage feel so good?

Massage triggers the release of serotonin and dopamine, chemicals that reduce stress and enhance mood. It also eases physical tension and helps the body enter a state of deep relaxation. The human touch plays a key role too, creating a calming effect that improves mental clarity and emotional comfort.

What is the difference between Thai massage and oil massage?

Thai massage is typically done on a mat without oil. It uses firm pressure, stretches, and rhythmic movements to align energy lines and boost flexibility. Oil massage, on the other hand, involves smooth strokes using natural oils on a massage table. It's gentler, more relaxing, and ideal for reducing stress. Both styles have unique benefits,Thai is energizing, while oil massage is deeply soothing.

Is massage good or bad for you?

For most people, massage is very good for physical and mental health. It reduces muscle pain, supports detoxification, improves sleep, and lowers stress levels. However, massage should be avoided if you have high fever, open wounds, certain skin infections, or serious medical issues. When in doubt, speak with a therapist before your session.

Booking & Locations

How do I book a massage?

You can book directly through our WhatsApp, LINE, or WeChat. Our team will confirm therapist availability and arrange your session. Just provide your name, preferred time, hotel or condo location, and any requests. Most sessions can be arranged within an hour in central Bangkok.

What areas in Bangkok do you serve?

We serve most of central Bangkok including Sukhumvit (Nana to Ekkamai), Silom, Sathorn, Asoke, Phrom Phong, Thonglor, and Ratchada. If you're staying in a major hotel, serviced condo, or residence in these zones, we can reach you. For areas outside the city center, message us to confirm coverage.

Do I need to pay in advance?

No advance payment is required for most bookings. You simply pay the therapist in cash before the session. For extended sessions or custom requests, a small deposit may be required to secure your booking.

Can I book a massage to my hotel room?

Yes. We specialize in discreet hotel and condo room delivery. After booking, we confirm your room number (if available) and arrival time, then send your selected therapist. Most major hotels and serviced apartments in Bangkok allow in-room massage sessions.

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking at least 1 hour in advance, especially during peak evening hours (8 PM onward). For last-minute or early morning sessions, booking before midnight helps guarantee availability. Booking earlier also increases your chance of getting your preferred therapist.

Massage Etiquette

What should I wear during a massage?

For oil massages, you're typically asked to undress to your comfort level, most clients wear just underwear or use the provided towel for coverage. For Thai massage, loose-fitting clothes are ideal, and some therapists may provide a massage outfit. Always communicate your preferences and follow your therapist’s guidance to stay comfortable and respectful.

Should I shower before my massage?

Yes, we recommend showering before your session, especially if you've been outdoors or at the gym. It ensures hygiene for both you and your therapist, and helps start the massage in a clean, relaxed state. Many hotels and condos provide in-room showers,a quick rinse is perfect.

Is it customary to tip the therapist?

Yes. While tipping is not mandatory, it’s appreciated as a gesture of satisfaction. A standard tip is 100–300 THB depending on the length of the session and quality of service. If you’re extremely happy, feel free to tip more,it goes directly to your therapist.

Can I talk during the massage?

It’s up to you. Some clients enjoy conversation, while others prefer quiet. Our therapists will follow your lead. If you'd like silence, feel free to mention it politely at the beginning. Communication is always welcome if you need more or less pressure, feel discomfort, or want to adjust anything.

Are there any behaviors I should avoid?

Yes. All clients are expected to be respectful and professional. Inappropriate behavior, verbal or physical, will result in immediate termination of the session with no refund. Our therapists are licensed professionals, and we maintain strict boundaries to ensure comfort and safety for both parties.

Health & Safety

Is massage safe?

Yes, massage is generally very safe when performed by a trained professional. It’s a non-invasive therapy that helps reduce stress, pain, and muscle tension. However, if you have specific medical conditions like blood clots, severe injuries, or skin infections, it’s best to consult your doctor or inform the therapist beforehand.

Do you follow hygiene or COVID safety measures?

Absolutely. All therapists follow strict hygiene protocols. They arrive freshly showered, carry sanitizer, and use clean towels. If you have specific hygiene preferences, let us know during booking. While COVID measures have relaxed in Thailand, we’re still committed to keeping sessions clean and safe for all.

What if I have an injury or chronic pain?

Inform us during booking or tell your therapist before the session begins. Many types of massage can help manage chronic pain, but adjustments may be needed depending on your condition. Our therapists can avoid sensitive areas or tailor the pressure accordingly to ensure your safety and comfort.

Can anyone get a massage?

Most people can safely enjoy massage, but there are exceptions. If you have a high fever, contagious skin condition, severe injury, or recent surgery, it's best to wait or consult a doctor. Pregnant women should request prenatal-specific massage, and children under 18 must have guardian consent.

Should I eat before my massage?

A light snack is fine, but avoid heavy meals right before your massage. Lying down or receiving pressure on a full stomach can feel uncomfortable. If you're hungry, eat something small at least 30–60 minutes beforehand for the best experience.

Massage for Specific Needs

Can massage help with back pain?

Yes. Massage is one of the most effective natural treatments for back pain. Techniques like deep tissue, Thai, or oil massage can reduce muscle tension, improve posture, and increase circulation, all of which contribute to pain relief. Be sure to let your therapist know about any chronic issues or sensitive areas so they can adjust the pressure accordingly.

Does massage help with stress or anxiety?

Absolutely. Massage therapy lowers cortisol (the stress hormone) and increases serotonin and dopamine, which naturally improve mood and relaxation. Even a 60-minute oil massage can dramatically reduce anxiety levels and help you sleep better. Many clients book regular sessions just for this reason.

Can I request a female therapist?

Yes. All of our therapists are female, and you can browse profiles in advance. If you have a specific request or preference, let us know during booking. We'll do our best to match you with the therapist that suits your needs and availability.

Is massage safe during pregnancy?

Massage can be safe during pregnancy, especially after the first trimester. However, it should be tailored to the mother's condition and focused on relaxation rather than deep pressure. If you're pregnant, please mention it during booking so we can assign a therapist experienced with prenatal care.

Can massage help me sleep better?

Yes. Massage promotes deeper sleep by calming the nervous system and reducing stress hormones. Many clients report falling asleep during the session itself and feeling more rested afterward. Regular massage can help reset your sleep cycle, especially if stress or pain are keeping you up at night.
